Circle Bar B Dinner Theatre 2013
Our 42nd Season Celebrates Love and Marriage….
or the possibility of it!
eturn Engagements
Written by Bernard Slade and Directed by Brian Harwell
April 12th- May 19th
This ingenious comedy is by the author of Same Time Next Year, You Say Tomatoes and I Remember You; all previously performed at the Circle Bar B. The first act is comprised of three separate vignettes illustrating four couples in various states in their “relationship.” In Act 2 we meet the couples 15, 20 and 25 years later and we learn much to our merriment how the couples ended up and how they have become linked together….in life and love.
The Importance of Being Earnest
Written by Oscar Wilde and Directed by Miller James
May 31st - July 14th
This masterpiece is probably the most famous of all comedies. It revolves wittily around the most ingenious case of “manufactured” mistaken identity ever put in to a play. Made in to a movie in 2009 and revived on Broadway in 2011, this is a timeless story of love and loss….of a handbag!
The Fox on the Fairway
Written by Ken Ludwig and Directed by Sean O’Shea
July 26th – September 8th
(Summer special: Shows added for Thrusday evenings!)
A tribute from Ken Ludwig to the great English farces of the 1930’s and 1940’s. Fox on the Fairway is filled with slamming doors, mistaken identities and over the top romantic shenanigans. It’s a furiously faced pace comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers classics. A charmingly madcap adventure about life, love and man’s eternal love affair….with golf.
Noises Off
September 20th – October 27th
"The most dexterously realized comedy ever about putting on a comedy. A spectacularly funny, peerless backstage farce. This dizzy, well-known romp is festival of delirium."
